The Krystal Tencel 2000 is a hand-tufted, soft-knit top mattress with Tencel woven into the fabric, providing excellent wellbeing properties and helping with a more restful, peaceful night's sleep. There is also a 65mm layer of memory foam to the full sleeping surface and a layer of individually wrapped pocket springs for comfort and support. This is a medium feel mattress, suitable for those who enjoy a more traditional, solid feel.

Some of the qualities of this mattress include:
• Pocket Springs: Pocket springs are individually wrapped springs that move together independently of each other, yielding to where pressure is most exerted and isolating movement, which differs from traditional open coil mattresses. Pocket springs are particularly great for providing pressure point relief as you sleep, dispelling any discomfort throughout the night and allowing for a deeper and more restful sleep. Additionally, they provide excellent support – ideal for those who require extra spinal support during the night.
• Memory Foam: Memory Foam is a type of foam that springs back to its original shape – even after long periods of use. Memory foam moulds to the natural counters of your body and provides excellent zonal support and pressure point relief. It can help with blood circulation throughout the night, allowing you to achieve a deeper and more restful sleep.
• Tencel Fabric: Tencel is a man-made fibre that uses a blend of plant pulp, wood and other synthetic materials to create a quasi-natural man-made fibre. Tencel claims to be one of the most breathable fibres. It aims to produce a silky and breathable layer by mixing polyester, plant pulp, and then creating a man-made fibre from it. It is also more eco-friendly than standard cotton fabric as it uses less water in growing.
• Micro-Quilted: Micro-Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
• Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.
• Side-Stitching: To help pro-long the life of the mattress, it is crafted as a turnable mattress and comes with side stitched borders that provide edge to edge support, preventing the sides of your mattress from sagging and keeping you feeling supported and comfortable in your bed.

This platform divan base provides a sturdy, reliable base for the mattress, constructed from solid and strong materials and timber wood for a robust and strong structure that adds durability. It creates a comfortable sleeping surface that prevents motion disturbance throughout the night. It comes with chrome gliders for ease of movement when required, whilst protecting your wooden flooring from scratches or damage. The base has been upholstered in high quality fabric that can be ordered in a colour and texture of your choice by using the options above, meaning you can choose the bed that suits your space the most. The matching headboard can be added using the options above, though alternatively you can find the full range of headboard styles by clicking here. This base comes with a FRONT OPENING OTTOMAN, revealing hidden storage within the base that's perfect for linen, blankets, clothing and more. A non drawer, two drawer or four drawer base is available elsewhere on our website, as well as a side opening ottoman or a motorised front opening ottoman. This divan base is delivered in one piece.
