The Solitaire Pillowtop is part of the Bonnell Collection; a group of traditionally made mattresses for traditional support and comfort. It features a 12.5g bonnell spring unit for even, firm support with layers of multiple fillings for extra comfort and firmness. The mattress has been hand-tufted for an even sleeping surface that holds all the fillings together to keep the mattress shape for longer, as well as a side-stitched border and edge support to maintain mattress shape. It's single sided with handles on the border for easy rotation and air vents to keep the mattress feeling fresh and clean. It's ideal for those looking for more orthopaedic support within their mattress, with a firm feel.

Some of the qualities of this mattress include:
• Open Coil: An open coil mattress has a spring support system of hundreds of interconnected springs joined together to make a spring bed. The interconnected springs perform as a single system, rather than each spring operating independently like with pocket springs. They have a more traditional feel than a pocket sprung mattress and can have a firmer feel for those who prefer it. Whilst not as supportive as pocket springs, open coil mattresses provide the same comfort level and are more common within standard mattresses.
• Foam Fillings: Foam Fillings are common in many mattresses. Foam provides the firmness a mattress requires, providing the traditional feel. It enhances the comfort of the mattress and provides support. Foam encases spring fillings to prevent any springs from providing discomfort throughout the night. Better quality tufts actually have their hard plastic ends very well protected by felt or wool pompoms, meaning that the most people won’t be able to feel their presence.

It comes with chrome gliders for ease of movement when required, whilst protecting your wooden flooring from scratches or damage. The base has been upholstered in high quality fabric that can be ordered in a colour of your choice by using the options above, meaning you can choose the bed that suits your space the most. The matching headboard can be added using the options above, though alternatively you can find the full range of headboard styles by clicking here. This base comes with a SIDE OPENING OTTOMAN, revealing hidden storage within the base that's perfect for linen, blankets, clothing and more. A non drawer, two drawer or four drawer base is available elsewhere on our website, as well as a front opening ottoman. This divan base is delivered in two halves.
