The Farnham Mattress is a mattress to be proud of, it is a Premier Pocket Spring Mattress in the Breffni Collection. Reflex Foam, multi-quilted with polyester and a unique knitted fabric will provide the occupant with a wonderful night's sleep. Handles are applied to the mattress border for ease of movement. The Farnham is a non-turn mattress and has been hand made in Ireland.

Some of the qualities of this mattress include:
• Pocket Springs: This mattress contains pocket springs. Pocket springs are individually wrapped springs that move together independently of each other, yielding to where pressure is most exerted and isolating movement, which differs from traditional open coil mattresses. Pocket springs are particularly great for providing pressure point relief as you sleep, dispelling any discomfort throughout the night and allowing for a deeper and more restful sleep. Additionally, they provide excellent support – ideal for those who require extra spinal support during the night.
• Reflex Foam: Reflex Foam mattresses are of high density and tend to offer medium firmness levels. Unlike other foam mattresses, reflex foam features air bubbles, as opposed to holes, to best maintain the shape of the mattress and offer improved body support. It is ideal for those who prefer a firmer feel of mattress and for spinal alignment assistance.
• Polyester Fillings: Polyester Fillings are common in many mattresses. Foam provides the firmness a mattress requires, providing the traditional feel. It enhances the comfort of the mattress and provides support. Polyester encases spring fillings to prevent any springs from providing discomfort throughout the night. Polyester tends to be quite breathable as well, keeping your bed feeling fresher for longer.
• Soft Touch Fabric: The fabric that wraps around the mattress can be just as important as the fillings. This mattress has been wrapped in luxuriously soft fabric that enhances the comfort of the mattress. Fabric around mattresses tends to be breathable and helps to keep your mattress feeling fresh and provides a more comfortable sleeping space during the night. It’s also incredibly hard-wearing and can provide that “new” look for longer.
• Micro-Quilted: Micro-Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
• Edge-to-Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.

The base has been constructed from solid and strong materials and timber for a robust and sturdy structure that adds reliability and durability. It sit s on chrome gliders, protecting your wooden flooring from scratches or damage. The base has been upholstered in high quality fabric that keeps the base looking fresher for longer and adds a touch of style to the divan. A headboard can also be added upon purchase by using the options above. However, you can also find a range of other headboard options in our headboard section.
