The Ares Memory mattress from Apollo is a sumptuous, double sided mattress that ensures a comfortable, refreshing sleep. It's 13.5 gauge open coil spring unit is combined with memory foam and generous layers of fillings to provide excellent support where it is needed most. The Ares Memory is finished in a 4 way stretch knitted fabric for added softness. The Ares Memory is a two sided mattress therefore requires regular turning.

Qualities of this mattress include:
• Open Coil: An open coil mattress has a spring support system of hundreds of interconnected springs joined together to make a spring bed. The interconnected springs perform as a single system, rather than each spring operating independently like with pocket springs. They have a more traditional feel than a pocket sprung mattress and can have a firmer feel for those who prefer it. Whilst not as supportive as pocket springs, open coil mattresses provide the same comfort level and are more common within standard mattresses.
• Memory Foam: Memory Foam is a type of foam that springs back to its original shape – even after long periods of use. Memory foam moulds to the natural counters of your body and provides excellent zonal support and pressure point relief. It can help with blood circulation throughout the night, allowing you to achieve a deeper and more restful sleep.
• Foam Fillings: Foam Fillings are common in many mattresses. Foam provides the firmness a mattress requires, providing the traditional feel. It enhances the comfort of the mattress and provides support. Foam encases spring fillings to prevent any springs from providing discomfort throughout the night. Foam tends to be quite breathable as well, keeping your bed feeling fresher for longer.
• Soft Touch Fabric: The fabric that wraps around the mattress can be just as important as the fillings. This mattress has been wrapped in luxuriously soft fabric that enhances the comfort of the mattress. Fabric around mattresses tends to be breathable and helps to keep your mattress feeling fresh and provides a more comfortable sleeping space during the night. It’s also incredibly hard-wearing and can provide that “new” look for longer.
• Hand-Tufted: A hand-tufted mattress can provide a firmer feel than a traditional quilted mattress. Tufts are often used to help keep mattress fillings together, helping to keep your mattress shape for longer and are particularly useful in pocket sprung mattresses. Better quality tufts actually have their hard plastic ends very well protected by felt or wool pompoms, meaning that the most people won’t be able to feel their presence.
• Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.

This bed comes as a standard divan bed with TWO DRAWERS. The base has been constructed from solid and strong materials and timber for a robust and sturdy structure that adds reliability and durability. The base has been upholstered in a high quality fabric of your choice that keeps the base looking fresher for longer and adds a touch of style to the divan. Headboard and accessories not included in the price but may be purchased if you wish. You can find our range of Apollo headboards in our headboard section. This base comes with TWO DRAWERS, placed one on each side at the bottom of the base but a non-drawer and a four drawer version can be found on the website. This divan base is delivered in two halves.
