The Spinal Support is the firmest mattress in our range, developed specifically with Orthopaedic care in mind. This 10” deep mattress is quilted with a soft touch fabric for comfort. It comes with extra layers of quilting and soft touch fabric, so you won’t have to compromise on comfort in the pursuit of support.

Some of the qualities of this mattress are:
• Pocket Springs: This mattress contains pocket springs. Pocket springs are individually wrapped springs that move together independently of each other, yielding to where pressure is most exerted and isolating movement, which differs from traditional open coil mattresses. Pocket springs are particularly great for providing pressure point relief as you sleep, dispelling any discomfort throughout the night and allowing for a deeper and more restful sleep. Additionally, they provide excellent support – ideal for those who require extra spinal support during the night.
• Foam Fillings: Foam Fillings are common in many mattresses. Foam provides the firmness a mattress requires, providing the traditional feel. It enhances the comfort of the mattress and provides support. Foam encases spring fillings to prevent any springs from providing discomfort throughout the night. Foam tends to be quite breathable as well, keeping your bed feeling fresher for longer.
• Hypo-Allergenic: Hypo-Allergenic mattresses tend to be filled with natural fillings, which help to fight against dust-mites, allergens and more. They can help dispel any allergy flare-ups throughout the night and tend to be mostly chemical free. Additionally, they can provide a more breathable sleeping surface, helping to keep your mattress feeling fresher for longer. (NB: not all hypo-allergenic mattresses are chemical free).
• Micro-Quilted: Micro-Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
• Soft Touch Fabric: The fabric that wraps around the mattress can be just as important as the fillings. This mattress has been wrapped in luxuriously soft fabric that enhances the comfort of the mattress. Fabric around mattresses tends to be breathable and helps to keep your mattress feeling fresh and provides a more comfortable sleeping space during the night. It’s also incredibly hard-wearing and can provide that “new” look for longer. The fabric has also been knitted with two-way stretch cloth for increased comfort with a velour finish.
• Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.
